I am not a great writer, but Bertrand Russell most certainly is

I am not a great writer. An acceptable writer on a lucky day, maybe. A good writer every once in a long while. But great? Not yet. I aspire to greatness, but I don't believed that my words could do justice to the mysteries or the complexities of life. So I look to others to articulate precisely the thoughts and prayers to which I cannot properly give voice.

What follows is a quote by Bertrand Russell. Bravo, Bertrand! I could not have said it better myself.

Three passions, simple but overwhelmingly strong, have governed my life: the longing for love, the search for knowledge, and unbearable pity for the suffering of mankind. These passions, like great winds, have blown me hither and thither, in a wayward course, over a deep ocean of anguish, reaching to the very verge of despair.

Well, great writer or not, you're a damn sight better than most people. Keep it up.
